SharjahAs the first day of the tournament went for Bangladesh, it was known that she would not be able to do much magic in this T20 World Cup. Bangladesh lost to West Indies by 3 runs today and were knocked out of this T20 World Cup. In the earlier matches, Bangladesh had lost the match to Sri Lanka by 6 wickets and then to England by 8 wickets.
Defending champions West Indies kept their hopes of entering the semi-finals alive after beating Bangladesh by three runs in a thrilling T20 World Cup clash while Bangladesh are almost out with the loss.
Wow! What was the issue? This time the most exciting match of T20 World Cup. What a tremendous bowling by Adren Russell in the last over. This is called the real experience of T20. Amazing…have fun! Bravo turned the tide of the match by giving only 3 runs in the 17th over. And then the wicket of Liton Das. I think Mahmudullah took a while to attack. Congratulations to West Indies! #t20worldcup #SabseBadaStadium #wivsbng

For the third time in a row, the Caribbean team, sent to bat first, scored 142 runs for seven wickets in a do or die match of the Super 12 stage. His notable batsmen, however, disappointed once again. Nicholas Pooran, alone in the last over, battling fort, scored 40 runs in 22 balls. He hit four sixes and a four to save West Indies from being reduced to an embarrassing total. Roston Chase scored 39 runs while making his T20 International debut.
In reply, Bangladesh could manage only 139 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. All West Indies bowlers took one wicket each. Bangladesh, who could not score a single point in three matches, are out of the tournament while West Indies can reach the semi-finals if they win the rest of the matches and if the results are favorable in the other matches.
Bangladesh got off to a poor start when openers Mohammad Naeem (17) and Shakib Al Hasan (nine) were dismissed in the first six overs. After this, wicket-keeper batsman Liton Das (44 runs in 43 balls) took over the innings.
Bangladesh needed 50 runs in the last six overs and six wickets were safe. Captain Mahmudullah (31 not out) and Das seemed to be in form. In such a situation, Dwayne Bravo gave only three runs in the 17th over. On the first ball of the 19th over, Mahmudullah hit him for a six but on the last ball he dismissed Das. 13 runs were needed in the last over which Mahmudullah could not make.

Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah, aware of West Indies’ struggle against spin bowling, opened the bowling from off-spinner Hassan, which put the Caribbean team under pressure. Found when Hasan took the big wicket of Chris Gayle (four). Bangladesh took two wickets for just 29 runs in the powerplay.
In the next over, Hasan sent Shimron Hetmyer (nine) to the pavilion. Kieron Pollard (14 not out) and Chase tried to handle the innings. Pollard walked off the field in the 13th over due to a fitness problem. The reason for his departure is not known but he came in the last over and hit a six off the last ball.
