Dehradun, 19 October. On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the government has decided to constitute a committee to make permanent more than 400 temporary employees of Uttarakhand Chardham Devasthanam Management Board and to settle the cases related to salary discrepancy. In this regard, Secretary Culture, Endowment and Pilgrimage HC Semwal has given instructions to the CEO of the Board. Let us inform that some time ago, former responsible and BJP leader Ajendra Ajay had placed the issue of temporary employees of the board before the Chief Minister.

Pushkar Singh Dhami

Ajendra, BJP leader and patron of the temporary employees union of the board, had written a letter to the Chief Minister and Chairman of the Board, Pushkar Singh Dhami last month regarding the problems of temporary workers. He said that Devasthanam Board (formerly Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee) has a large number of employees who are working on temporary basis for 20-25 years. Many of these temporary workers do not even get a normal living salary, while they are serving in the high Himalayan regions like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Madhyameshwar.

In the letter, Ajendra also mentioned that many temporary personnel are nearing retirement and in such a situation, if they are not regularized, they will also be deprived of the facility of pension etc. It is also contrary to the principle of equal pay for equal work. He suggested the formation of a committee for regularization of these personnel, settlement of pay discrepancy and other issues.

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, now the Secretary Culture, Dharmaswa and Pilgrimage has issued instructions to the CEO of the Board in this regard. On the other hand, BJP leader Ajendra has thanked the Chief Minister for taking seriously the problems of the temporary employees of the board.
