Lahore. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made 3 major changes in the team announced for the T20 World Cup. For the tournament (T20 World Cup 2021), Fakhar Zaman has got a place in the 15-member team. He is the only player from Pakistan to score a double century in ODIs. He was included as the first reserve player. Apart from this, former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and Haider Ali have also been given a place in the team. The World Cup is starting from 17 October. Pakistan has to face Team India in the first match on 24 October.
Sarfaraz Ahmed has been included in Azam Khan while Haider Ali has been included in place of Mohammad Hasnain. On the other hand, Fakhar Zaman has got a chance in place of Khushdil Shah. Khushdil Shah will now be with the team as a reserve player. While Azam and Hasain have not been included as reserves. Sohaib Masood was injured during the National T20 Cup. But after medical advice, his place has been retained in the team. However, still senior player Shoaib Malik failed to make it to the team. He has completed 11 thousand runs in T20 in the past. Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan was also in favor of the change in the team.
