T20 World Cup 2021 Salman Butt says Ishan Kishan may be included in Team India Playing xi for Surykumar Yadav

New Delhi. Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt believes that Ishan Kishan can be included in place of Suryakumar Yadav in India’s playing XI in the T20 World Cup 2021. According to Butt, Ishan Kishan can be a good option who can come in the playing XI in place of Yadav. Young wicketkeeper-batsman Ishaan performed well in the warm-up match against England and scored 70 runs. He was seen in good rhythm and came out to bat as an opener.

Ishan Kishan’s innings included 7 fours and 3 sixes. Yadav, on the other hand, is struggling a bit with his form. He got out after scoring just 8 runs in the practice match. Suryakumar’s performance in the UAE leg of the IPL was also not special. He scored only 144 runs in 7 matches in the second half of the IPL, while 82 of them scored in the last league match of Mumbai Indians.

Salman Butt said on his YouTube channel, ‘Suryakumar Yadav is not in the kind of form he was seen in Sri Lanka. Even in IPL, if we take out an innings in the final match of the UAE leg, he did not perform well in any other match. If concerns about his form persist, then Ishan Kishan can be included in the playing XI in his place. He is in excellent form. I think if India has to choose between Suryakumar and Ishaan, they should go with Kishan considering the current form. He can play a game-changing innings.

India has three right-handed batsmen in the top order with the presence of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. If Ishaan plays, the team will have two left-handed batsmen in the middle order, as Rishabh Pant is also a left-handed batsman. Butt mentioned that this will help India to create a left-right combination. The Indian team has to play its first match in the T20 World Cup against Pakistan on 24 October.
