New Delhi. Ireland’s star batsman Paul Stirling has overtaken Indian captain Virat Kohli in the matter of hitting most fours in T20 cricket. Starling has become the batsman with the most number of fours in International T20 cricket. He achieved this feat against UAE on Sunday. Opener Starling scored 40 runs in 35 balls against UAE. In which he hit a total of 4 fours.
With this, he has got a total of 288 fours in International T20 cricket. While Kohli currently has 285 fours. Starling did this feat in one match less than Kohli. He made this record in his 89th International T20 match. Whereas Kohli did this in 90 matches.
Rohit Sharma at number four
On the basis of 31-year-old Starling and Kevin O’Brien’s half-century, Ireland batted first in the third T20 match and scored 134 runs for 5 wickets in the allotted over. Starling was caught by Rohan Mustafa on his own.
While O’Brien was bowled by Mustafa. Starling and Kohli are followed by Martin Guptill at number three, Rohit Sharma at number four and Aaron Finch at number five in international T20 cricket.
