NIA raids Kashmir Valley, 70 people detained | NIA raids Kashmir Valley, 70 people detained

Digital Desk, Srinagar. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday conducted raids at 16 places in the Kashmir Valley in connection with two cases, ISIS Voice of Hind and TRF case. According to sources, raids are on at nine places in Srinagar, Anantnag, Kulgam and Baramulla. He said that during this several stone pelters and anti-India elements have been detained and they are being interrogated. In the last 2-3 days, 70 youths have been detained in Srinagar and a total of 570 people have been detained across Kashmir.

The security forces have taken this action on anti-India elements just after the terrorist attack on minorities three days ago. Recently, a group of masked militants had entered a school in Kashmir on the pretext of knowing the religious identity of the teachers. According to the police, they then separated two non-Muslim teachers and shot them. The killings in Srinagar on Thursday were the latest in a series of attacks largely targeting Hindu and Sikh civilians in the Valley. Incidents of expelling religious minority groups, including Kashmiri Pandits, from the escalation of terrorism three decades ago are worrying.

According to the Voice of Hind magazine, the ISIS terror outfit has been releasing the magazine based on the monthly Bharat online since February 2020, with an aim to radicalize Muslim youth in the Valley. In the The Resistance Front (TRF) case, the NIA is investigating terrorist organizations including Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizbul Mujahideen and Jaish-e-Mohammed by conducting raids. Raids have also been conducted at the house of TRF Commander Sajjad Gul in Kashmir.
