Royal Challengers Bangalore finished IPL 2021 in league stage style. He led Delhi Capitals to a 7-wicket win at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Friday night. Delhi had set a target of 165 runs in front of RCB, chasing which Bangalore could score only 55 runs in 9.3 overs.
Then Virat Kohli’s team won on the basis of 111 runs partnership of Shrikar Bharat and Glenn Maxwell. Bharat won the match by hitting a six off the last ball. Bangalore needed 5 runs to win off the last ball, Bharat hit a six off Avesh Khan and won. After this victory, there was a celebration in the RCB camp.
RCB captain Virat Kohli started celebrating in the dressing room and then ran into the field and hugged Bharat. However, this win did not affect the points table. Delhi is still at number 1 and Bangalore is at number three.
Now RCB will face Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah on Monday. On Friday night, RCB won the toss and decided to bowl first. But Delhi got a strong start by Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan.
The openers shared 88 runs for the first wicket. Then Dhawan was dismissed for 43 runs. Shaw also became a victim of Yuzvendra Chahal and was dismissed after scoring 48 runs. Captain Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer also failed to contribute. Hetmyer scored 29 runs off 22 balls and took Delhi’s score to 164/5 in 20 overs.
