Telecom giants Jio and Google have announced the availability of their much-awaited JioPhone Next from Diwali in India with an entry price of Rs 1,999 (with multiple EMI options) and an upfront payment of Rs 6,499. The 5.45-inch JioPhone Next has Pragati OS, which is a customized version of Android. It will feature a multi-touch HD+ screen, a 13MP camera at the rear and an 8MP front camera. The device with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage will feature Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with anti-fingerprint coating. Its internal storage can be expanded up to 512 GB. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip called QM-215 (quad-core up to 1.3GHz). There will be a 3,500mAh battery with 3.5mm audio jack and 2 dual-SIM nano slots. The device will offer easy access and consume content in 10 languages.

JioPhone Next claims that it delivers great photos and videos in HDR mode in low light conditions which brings out wider color and dynamic range in images. According to CyberMedia Research (CMR), Prabhu Ram, Head of Industry Intelligence Group (IIG), said JioPhone Next is a potential market transformation that will further drive the digital transformation in India that enables over 300 million consumers to be more efficient than the old 2G network. And will lead to better 4G network. The device integrates India-themed Snapchat Lens directly into the camera app of the phone, Camera Go, which will create a more delightful and innovative photo-taking experience for users. With Google Play Protect built in, it has Google’s world-class security and malware protection. With the Google Play Store, users will have access to millions of apps that people around the world use and enjoy.
