Hajipur: Indian Railways has given great news to the passengers ahead of the festival. If you are planning to visit your home or any other place for the upcoming festivals, then this news is for you only. In fact, the Railways has decided to run five festival special trains during the festive season for the passengers of Bihar to come and go home. Railways says that in view of the heavy rush of passengers during this festive season, festival special trains will be operated from New Delhi/Anand Vihar Terminal to Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Barauni, Saharsa and Jaynagar stations of East May Railway. All coaches in these special trains will be of reserved category and passengers traveling in these will have to follow the norms of Kovid-19. Rajesh Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway has given information about the trains.

  1. Train No. 01676/01675 Anand Vihar – Muzaffarpur – Anand Vihar Terminal Festival Special Express Special train will be operated between Anand Vihar Terminal and Muzaffarpur on two days a week from 11 October to 17 October.
  2. Train No. 01676 Anand Vihar – Muzaffarpur Festival Special Express will leave Anand Vihar at 22:50 hrs on every Monday & Wednesday from 11 October to 17 October and will arrive Muzaffarpur at 22:00 hrs the next day. In return, Train No. 01675 Muzaffarpur – Anand Vihar Festival Special train will leave Muzaffarpur at 23:45 hrs on every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 October to 18 October and will reach Anand Vihar at 23:30 hrs the next day. This special train will stop at Hajipur, Chhapra, Gorakhpur, Barabanki, Lucknow, Chandausi and Moradabad stations in up and down direction between Muzaffarpur and Anand Vihar Terminal.
  3. Similarly train no. 01670/01669 New Delhi – Darbhanga – New Delhi Festival Special Express will run twice a week from 11 October to 18 October. 01670 New Delhi – Darbhanga Express will depart New Delhi at 19:25 hrs on Mondays and Thursdays and will reach Darbhanga at 16:00 hrs, the next day, twice a week from 11 October to 18 October. In return, Train No. 01669 Darbhanga – New Delhi train will depart Darbhanga at 18:00 hrs on Tuesday and Friday, 2 days a week from 12 October to 19 October and will reach New Delhi at 16:40 hrs the next day. This special train will stop at Sitamarhi, Raxaul, Narkatiaganj, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Bareilly and Moradabad stations in up and down direction between Darbhanga and New Delhi.
  4. Similarly, superfast festival special train will be operated between New Delhi and Barauni twice a week from October 12 to October 20, while between Anand Vihar Terminal and Saharsa, festival special train will be operated twice a week from October 11 to October 19. will be operated.
  5. Apart from this, two days a week festival special train will be operated between Anand Vihar and Jayanagar from October 12 to October 20. Train No. 01668 ANAND VIHAR – JAYNAGAR FESTIVAL SPECIAL EXPRESS will leave Anand Vihar at 10.30 hrs on Tuesdays and Fridays twice a week from 12 October to 19 October and will reach Jaynagar at 13.35 hrs the next day. In return, Train No. 01667 Jaynagar – Anand Vihar Festival Special train will leave Jaynagar at 15:30 hrs on Wednesdays and Saturdays to reach Anand Vihar at 19:00 hrs, twice a week from 13 October to 20 October.
