The report said that the number of people drinking bottled water in Delhi has increased rapidly in the last few years. In 2014, a total of three percent of Delhi’s population used bottled water, which has now increased to seven percent. About 44 percent of the population in Delhi’s slum areas use bottled water. The main reason for this is that there is no water pipeline in these areas. People have no choice but to use bottled water.
