Gold gains Rs 50 silver tumbles Rs 922

New Delhi. Gold prices on Friday rose by Rs 50 to Rs 45,959 per 10 grams in the national capital’s bullion market amid a rise in precious metals in the international market. HDFC Securities gave this information. Due to this, gold had closed at Rs 45,909 per 10 grams in the previous trading session. Conversely, silver ended lower by Rs 922 at Rs 59,834 per kg. In the last trading session, it had closed at Rs 60,756 per kg.

Gold futures prices rise

Gold prices on Friday rose by Rs 68 to Rs 46,895 per 10 grams in the local futures market as speculators created fresh positions amid firming global demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in December rose by Rs 68, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 46,895 per 10 grams. It had a business turnover of 13,542 lots. Market analysts said buying in fresh positions by participants led to the rise in gold futures prices. However, globally the price of gold in New York is 0.

It lost 21 percent to $1,755.50 an ounce.

Silver futures fall

Silver prices on Friday fell by Rs 198 to Rs 61,060 per kg in futures trade as participants reduced their positions on weak demand. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver futures for delivery in December declined by Rs 198, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 61,060 per kg. The futures contract was traded for 11,159 lots. Globally, silver fell by 0.83 per cent to USD 22.47 an ounce in New York.

Crude oil futures rise

Crude oil prices on Friday rose by Rs 108 to Rs 5,968 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions on firm demand at the spot market. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in October rose by Rs 108, or 1.84 per cent, to Rs 5,968 per barrel with a business turnover of 11,217 lots. Market analysts said gains in crude oil prices at futures trade as participants increased their positions. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 1.48 per cent to $79.46 per barrel in New York. Meanwhile, Brent crude, considered the global benchmark, rose 1.40 per cent to $83.10 per barrel.
