G-20 Summit: Pope Francis accepted PM Modi’s invitation

PM Narendra Modi participated in the G-20 Summit in Rome, Italy on Saturday 30 October. During this, PM Modi had a warm meeting with US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron. Along with this, PM Modi met Pope Francis in the Vatican and invited him to come to India. Let us tell you that he accepted the invitation of PM Modi. Now the Pope will visit India. On the other hand, while addressing the G-20 session, PM Modi mentioned India’s fight against the corona epidemic (Corona Pandemic). Giving a mantra regarding the war with the epidemic, PM Modi said that One Earth-One Health will win.

Let us tell you that while giving information about PM Modi’s meeting, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said that PM Modi invited G-20 countries to be their partners in India’s economic reforms and supply chain diversification. He also highlighted the fact that despite the challenges of the pandemic, India remained a reliable partner in terms of reliable supply chains. Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla further told that in the first session, the PM gave information on India’s contribution in fighting against Kovid-19. He referred to India’s medical supplies to over 150 countries and spoke about our vision of One Earth, One Health which is essentially a collaborative approach in the fight against the corona pandemic.

He said that the issue of global energy crisis was raised in the meeting. However, the first meeting of the G20 focused on health issues. Along with this, the Foreign Secretary also informed that PM Modi will participate in many other meetings including an event organized by US President Joe Biden on ‘Supply Chain Resilience’ in Rome tomorrow. Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla also informed that Pope Francis has accepted PM Modi’s invitation and we are looking forward to his visit to India. This meeting between PM Modi and Pope Francis was proposed for 20 minutes, but lasted for about an hour.
