The corona virus, which has wreaked havoc all over the world, still remains a problem. After a long time, there has been a huge increase in the cases of corona in Russia. A record 40,993 new cases of corona have been reported in Russia in a single day. Not only this, the worrying thing is that more than a thousand people also died due to corona. Russia has set a new record of almost daily infections or deaths during October. The death toll on Sunday stood at 1,158, just short of Friday’s record of 1,163. Due to this the death toll from Corona in Russia has reached 238,538, which is the highest ever in Europe.

The task force only counts deaths directly from the virus. The country’s statistics service Rosstat, which counts deaths from Kovid-19 by several criteria, had counted 44,265 deaths directly attributable to the virus in September. The government believes that keeping people away from offices, schools and crowded areas will help stop the spread of the virus, but many Russians have gone on a seaside holiday, worsening the situation. Officials have also blamed the slow pace of vaccination in Russia on rising infections and deaths.
