Digital Desk, Bhopal. Congress has released a list of 20 star campaigners for the by-elections to the assembly and Lok Sabha to be held in Madhya Pradesh. No member of the Gandhi family is included in this list of star campaigners.
The list of 20 star campaigners has been released by the party’s national general secretary KC Venugopal for the by-elections to three assembly constituencies of the state, Raigaon, Jobat and Prithvipur, besides Khandwa parliamentary constituency. The list includes the names of state in-charge Mukul Wasnik, former chief ministers Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh, former union ministers Kantilal Bhuria, Suresh Pachauri and Arun Yadav.
Similarly, the party also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Kuldeep Indora, Ajay Singh, Sajjan Singh Verma, Jitu Patwari, Kamleshwar Patel, Mukesh Nayak, Siddharth Kushwaha, Arif Masood, Omkar Singh Markam, Govind Singh, NP Prajapati, Vikrant Bhuria and Archana Jaiswal. Promoter has been created. No member of the Gandhi family is named in this star campaigner list of Congress, while the state in-charge and secretary appointed by the All India Congress Committee, apart from the leader of other state have also not been given a place in the list of star campaigners.
In the matter of not giving place to national leaders in the star campaigner list of Congress, state spokesperson of Congress Ajay Singh Yadav says that it has been the tradition of Congress in the by-elections that national leaders do not go in the campaign, it has happened this time. It is not only in Madhya Pradesh, but national leaders do not go for campaigning in the by-elections to be held in any part of the country.
