Lucknow, October 19: On the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of the country’s independence, continuous events are being organized in Uttar Pradesh too. Under this, 15 days Khadi Festival and Silk Expo-2021 are being organized in Lucknow from Tuesday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the festival at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Khadi Festival in Lucknow’s Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Gomtinagar at around 11 o’clock in the day, along with visiting the exhibition of Khadi related establishments of the state. On this occasion, under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took stock of the Khadi exhibition along with the inauguration of ‘Khadi Festival and Silk Expo’ at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan today. CM Yogi Adityanath also spun a spinning wheel in the Khadi festival. He interacted with the producers of Khadi at the exhibition. On this occasion, CM Yogi Adityanath said that Khadi will lead all of us towards self-reliant goal. PM Narendra Modi has given the mantra of self-reliance to this country. The coming time is of Khadi.
Cabinet Minister Siddharth Nath Singh said that Khadi has been a symbol of freedom, now Khadi is also becoming a symbol of fashion. We are working towards the goal of taking Khadi from door to door. With the inspiration of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Khadi is being promoted in the state. The Chief Minister distributed checks of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Khadi Marketing Development Assistance Scheme, loan approval certificates, state level awards and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Sericulture Award to the beneficiaries here. The ‘Khadi Mahotsav and Silk Expo’ will continue till October 30. During this, traditional cultural programs of Uttar Pradesh will also be organized here.
