New Delhi: India has achieved great success today. This information has been given by the Union Minister himself. With this success, PM Modi’s vision of self-reliant India has gone one step further. In fact, giving information by tweeting, Union Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the first call was made on BSNL’s Indian 4G network (Design and Made in India). PM Narendra Modi’s vision of self-reliant India is taking shape.

BSNL 4G service is being offered in many regions in India and the company is now also giving free 4G SIM to its customers till 31st December. This is India’s first indigenous 4G network, although its rollout was not smooth. Reports say that Tata Consultancy Services may emerge as a support partner in the later stages of the rollout.

BSNL has been working on 4G network with the help of Indian technology for a long time. In January this year, BSNL issued an expression of interest seeking proof of concept from Indian companies interested in participating in the upcoming 4G tender. As per the information of the department, letter of intent was issued to five eligible bidders in July.

The government has made a budgetary allocation of Rs 24084 crore for spectrum for 4G services in the financial year 2021-22. The allocation is part of the Rs 69,000 crore revival package of BSNL and MTNL.
