New Delhi. Former England international cricketer Sarah Taylor will be seen in the role of coach in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League. Sara will be the assistant coach of Team Abu Dhabi in this league. Sara has created history by becoming the first woman coach in men’s professional franchise cricket. Sarah Taylor is considered one of the best female wicketkeepers in history. Sara was previously the first female specialist coach in the men’s county team with Sussex. With her appointment as the assistant coach of Team Abu Dhabi, she hopes that her partnership with Abu Dhabi T10 will inspire women and girls around the world.
Sarah Taylor said, “Coming into the world of this franchise, where there are coaches and players from all over the world, I love to think that a young girl or a woman looking forward to see me on the coaching team and feel that this is an opportunity ” He insisted, ‘If she can, why can’t I?’ He further said that I hope that it will become a little more normal. I may be the first, but I will not be the last. Coaching is my passion and it’s like going the men’s way, which is really exciting.
She said, “I have never had a problem in a male environment and I enjoy the challenge. You always want to prove that you are good enough, but the same goes for any coach moving into a new environment.” Sarah Taylor, who won two ICC Women’s World Cups, the Women’s T20 World Cup, represented England 226 times during her illustrious career. She will now serve as an assistant to head coach Paul Farbrace for Team Abu Dhabi, who has also hired former South African all-rounder Lance Klusener.
Lance Klusener is currently the head coach of the Afghanistan team playing in the Men’s T20 World Cup. His presence adds even more world class experience to the coaching team. As well as continuing to work with the Sussexes, Taylor also coaches at Beds School in the same county. Sara has come out of retirement to play in The Hundred and the Women’s T20 Cup in Britain this summer. Sara keeps the opportunities more open to play. In such a situation, he chose the opportunity to work with Abu Dhabi. He is looking forward to working with Farbrace and Klusener.
Sarah Taylor said, “It came suddenly and was a shocking surprise.” Sara said after reading a WhatsApp message from Shane Anderson, General Manager of Team Abu Dhabi. It was written in this message that would she be interested in this position? Sara said that I am counting the days until I reach Abu Dhabi. She said, “I can’t wait. It made the news even more exciting as soon as I found out who the staff was. It was a sudden moment and I would have been a fool if I had missed this opportunity. I will get to learn a lot here, maybe they have a lot to tell me and I am going to learn it all.”

She further said, “I am going to sit there with a notebook and write as much as I can. He also knows this and he will teach me a lot as I am at the beginning of my coaching career. Shane Anderson said, “Sara will bring a wealth of international experience and knowledge to the team.” The fifth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 will take place from November 19 to December 4 at the world famous Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in the UAE. Team Abu Dhabi has announced its coaching staff as well as signed England international cricketer Liam Livingstone as its icon player, while West Indies legend Chris Gayle has been retained in the squad.
