9445 cases of Kovid came in Kerala, test positivity rate was recorded at 11.42 percent

Thiruvananthapuram: In Kerala, 9,445 people were found infected with Kovid-19 on Wednesday after 82,689 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in a statement issued here that the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) in the state has been recorded at 11.42 percent.
He also informed that the total number of active cases in the state has gone up to 76,554 of which 9.4 per cent are in hospitals.
During the last 24 hours, 93 people have lost their lives due to the infection in the state, taking the death toll to 29,977.
On the vaccination front, 94.5 per cent (2.52 crore) of the population above the age of 18 years have received the first dose of vaccine and 49.5 per cent (1.32 crore) have received both doses.
