New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, 8,865 new cases of coronavirus were reported in India, which is the lowest in the last 287 days. These figures have been shared by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday.
According to the ministry, with the death of 197 people in the last 24 hours, the death toll from this virus has increased to 4,63,852.
Due to the recovery of 11,971 infected people in the last 24 hours, the number of people recovering has increased to 3,38,61,756. India’s recovery rate is 98.27 percent, which is the highest since March 2020.
There are 1,30,793 active cases of corona, which is the lowest in 525 days. The active cases currently account for 0.38 per cent of the total number of positive cases in the country, which is the lowest since March 2020.
Also, in the last 24 hours, a total of 11,07,617 corona tests were conducted across the country, taking the total to 62.57 crore.
With 59,75,469 vaccine doses administered to people in the last 24 hours, India’s corona vaccination coverage has reached 112.97 crores as of Tuesday morning.
This has been achieved through 1,16,00,209 sessions.
