New Delhi: In India, 13,091 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours while 340 people died. These figures were shared by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday.
According to the ministry, with the new deaths, the nationwide death toll has risen to 4,62,189.
Due to the recovery of 13,878 infected people in the last 24 hours of Corona, the number of recovered people has increased to 3,38,00,925. India’s recovery rate now stands at 98.25 percent, which is the highest since March 2020.
There are 1,38,556 active cases of coronavirus which is the lowest in 266 days.
Corona active cases currently account for 0.40 percent of the total positive cases in the country, which is the lowest since March 2020.
Also, in the last 24 hours, a total of 11,89,470 tests were conducted across the country, taking the total number of tests to 61.99 crore.
Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate at 1.18 per cent has remained below 2 per cent for the past 48 days.
The daily positivity rate is 1.10 percent, which is below 2 percent for the last 38 days and less than 3 percent for 73 consecutive days.
With 57,54,817 vaccine doses administered to people in India in the last 24 hours, India’s total COVID vaccination coverage has reached 110 crores as of Thursday morning.
This has been achieved through 1,12,38,854 sessions.
