1 crore package to IIT students, maximum 2 crore package to Guwahati student


The ‘Placement’ campaign started in various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in the country in which many students got packages of more than Rs 1 crore. Officials said on Thursday that this is a better performance than the time before Kovid. At least 60 students in IIT Delhi got a package of Rs 1 crore. An international company working in the field of technology has given an annual package of Rs 2.15 crore to a student of IIT Roorkee.

Similarly, a student of IIT Bombay was offered a package of about Rs 2.05 crore by Uber company while a student of IIT Guwahati got a package of Rs 2 crore per annum. Uber offered jobs to five IIT students in Varanasi. Out of these 5 students, 1 student got an offer to work in the US office of the company while another got an annual package of Rs 2 crore. A total of 55 companies have given 232 offer letters to the students of IIT BHU with an average annual salary package of Rs 32.89 lakh and a minimum annual salary of Rs 12 lakh.

IIT Madras said that 43 percent more offers were received on the first day of placement than last year. The IIT market saw a 16 percent increase in the average annual salary. At IIT Madras, 34 companies offered 176 packages on the first day, which is the highest number of job offers received on the first day. The institute said 11 students received international offers.
