Dubai. The Indian team’s new jersey took over the famous Burj Khalifa here just hours after it was launched. MPL Sports, the official kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team, posted a video showing the new jersey at the Burj Khalifa on Wednesday night during the light show.
MPL Sports tweeted, “For the first time ever, Team India’s jersey shines at Burj Khalifa. Billion Cheers jersey inspired by billions of fans reaches new heights.”
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also shared the video on Twitter and said, “The unveiling of Team India’s World Cup jersey at the famous Burj Khalifa gets even bigger. Watch this historic moment here.”
The new jersey has been unveiled for the T20 World Cup to be held in the UAE. During the light show, photographs of captain Virat Kohli, vice-captain Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah were seen.
India will start their campaign in the T20 World Cup with a match against Pakistan in Group-2 of the Super-12 at the Dubai International Stadium on October 24.
