Sharjah. Qualifier-2 of IPL 2021 ended in a dramatic fashion. Chasing the target of 136 runs, KKR had scored 123 runs for one wicket at one time. In such a situation, his victory seemed certain. But the bowlers of Delhi Capitals (DC) turned the entire match by taking 4 wickets in 11 balls. KKR had to score 6 runs to win off the last 2 balls. Rahul Tripathi, born in Ranchi, took KKR to the final with a six. KKR’s team has never lost in the final. Delhi had scored 135 runs for 5 wickets while playing first. KKR achieved the target in 19.5 overs for 7 wickets.
Playing first of the match, Delhi scored 136 runs for 5 wickets. In reply, KKR’s score at one point was 126 for 3 in 17.5 overs. He had to score 10 runs off 13 balls. On the last ball of the 18th over, Kagisay Rabada bowled Dinesh Karthik (0) to give a fourth blow to KKR. On the last ball of the 19th over, Anrich Norkea gave a big blow to KKR by bowling captain Eoin Morgan (0). He conceded just 3 runs in the over.
Ashwin approaches hat-trick
In the last over, KKR had to score 7 runs to win and had 5 wickets left. Rahul Tripathi took a run off the first ball of off-spinner R Ashwin. Shakib could not score on the second ball. Delhi could not reach the final even after being on top
