New Delhi. A secret blacklist of the social media platform Facebook has been leaked. Since then there has been an uproar. This list includes about 4000 such individuals or organizations from all over the world including India. This list also includes 10 terrorist organizations based outside India. Facebook considers these people and organizations to be dangerous.
This secret blacklist also mentions America’s white supremacists, armed social movements and alleged terrorists. The list, named ‘Dangerous Individuals and Organizations’ that Facebook has not allowed to be active on its platform, was leaked by The Intercept on Tuesday.
Published list of banned people and organizations
The list of 10 organizations banned from India includes the names of Communist Party of India (Maoist) and Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah), All Tripura Tiger Force, Kanglipak Communist Party, Khalistan Tiger Force, People’s Revolutionary Party of Kanglipak. In this secret blacklist, 10 terrorist organizations based out of India, Indian Mujahideen, Afzal Guru Squad of Jaish-e-Mohammed, besides the names of global terrorist organizations like Islamic State and Taliban are also included.
More than half of the alleged foreign terrorists are on the Secret Blacklist. Strict restrictions have also been imposed on these organizations and individuals in the policy of the social media company. Facebook has divided these groups into three levels. Tier 1 includes terrorist organizations, hate groups and criminal organizations, while Tier 2 includes organizations running armed social movements. At the same time, under Tier Three, Military Raised Social Movements are included.
